Hardly the sexiest accessory to splash out on, but though small, it's one that can wreak havoc in a big way when it becomes dodgy! The tiny connector pins of the MiniDisplayPort plug are all too easily abused in careless hands and even slight wear can create intermittent errors which send the techies every-which-way as the projected image dies. This unit is not the most expensive adapter on the market, but it is one of the best made models and stands the test of time. Order two anyway for peace of mind. Highly recommended especially as it comes from such a committed supplier.

This adapter just works! I plugged it in and my Dell XPs 15Z didn't need any configuration - it ran at 1920 x 1080 without any problem. My new Dell XPS is a lovely laptop but it only has Mini DisplayPort and HDMI. After struggling with HDMI for the last month or so I eventually had to recognise that most companies I visit have a VGA cable attached to their projectors. This is a great solution. It has worked with every screen / projector I've come accross (5 - 10 so far). It will run my 1920 x 1080 office screen without any difficulty but also drops back to match projector capabilities without any problem.

UKHDMI execution of the order better than expected and straight from the box to pc to projector it all worked fine. I was a bit nervous as most articles seemed to suggest this was for Apples only but it worked absolutely fine on my Dell XPS17

Bought this after a trip to UK->Turkey where even with an HDMI cable and DVI adapters, I couldn't use my laptop with the projector because they had only brought the VGA cable down from the ceiling. What a pain that Apple didn't include the most standard compatibility connector for video on the MBP! Don't people at Apple go off site with their products? Anyway, this does the job nicely, was delivered fast and works a treat.

Although we have not yet needed to use this adapter it fits and will mean that the projector we purchased now is of use to the company for training.

Brilliant product, much cheaper than the Jobsian ripoff. Works just as well, superb product.Also bought the HMDI and DVI versions, all three at a reasonable cost.
