this is perfect for hooking your display port MAC to an external monitor. It's a lot cheaper than the apple branded products and even better that it supports both DVI-A and C. Could perhaps do with short instructions on how to have external display only on MacBooks: close lid, sleep, re-open wake with external mouse or keyboard.

Only glitch was during the ordering process when I was not returned to the HDMI site after paying (by PayPal) so didn't know whether the order had gone through or not. Needed to follow through by phone to confirm, but still got a speedy service.

The adapter works flawlessly, and the design and build quality are just as good as a genuine Apple adapter but at 30% less cost. What more could you ask for?The service from UKHDMI was exceptional. I used this to connect a Cintiq 21UX to a MacBook Pro through the Mini DisplayPort. Key feature is that this connector is a male DVI with the four small connectors above and below the flat plate. The capacity to take these pins is absent from the Apple version - ie these four pins have no corresponding sockets on the Apple connector.

Brought this Mini Displayport to link up my 15"MacBook Pro to my Formac 19" monitor. It worked fine with no problems. One thing to note that the display on the Laptop will mirror the size and ratio of the Monitor.

I recently purchased a new iMac which presented a mini display port connection for the use of an external monitor. At the Apple store they had a similar adapter for �21. I felt that was a bit too much and decided to search for an adapter online.I found this one, supplied by UKHDMI at a fraction of the price and having read previous reviews decided it would be a good option.The adapter arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. It plugs in to the back of my iMac securly and provides a secure connection for the DVI connector of my external monitor. Display quality is excellent, no issues at all. Delighted with the product and the service provided by UKHDMI and I will certainly be back when I need cables and adapters in future.

Mini DisplayPort to DVI unit Does exactly what it says it does. I ordered it and it arrived promptly. Connected to my 13" Macbook Pro and a Samsung screen with DVI connection and it works flawlessly. Exceptionally good value as well! Great product
