I bought this adaptor to tidy the HDMI connection to my JVC HD350 projector which has the HDMI sockets on the side, making any ordinary HDMI cable stick out and looks messy. By using this item, the HDMI cable can be neatly run along the side of the projector and down behind the back.I've tried this adpator when using 1080/60p signals to no ill effect and also with a 12 bit 'deep colour' output from a DVDO Edge Video Processor and it functioned perfectly (I'd been concerned putting an extra connection at the end of a 12 metre cable might causes issues).Basically does what you'd expect it to do.
