At the time of purchase - about 6 months ago - the Wii was completely new to me as was my 52" Sony LCD and various other components. Having spent quite a lot on all my new equipment I couldn't see any point in not going for all the affordable connecting cables (see also my HDMI review) especially if they offered more than what 'came in the box', as was the case with this particular cable. I can't draw any comparisons but for a 480p spec. display, which is all you get from a Wii, it's pretty damn good on my 52" TV. I would also like to add that the service I've experienced from UK HDMI on about 4/5 orders has been excellent.
