Simply plug and play.I had to turn off the smart scan feature as my Logitech Harmony remote and the smart scan would conflict with one and other.A little bit of 'googling' and voilà. Hold the button down on the front of the unit until the three lights flash in sequence and that was my problem solved. This may well be in the instructions, but to be honest I thought who needs instructions for a HDMI switch?!I would have marked this 5 stars but the colour through the hdmi seems darker then when I just had the one device coupled up. As I only view through hdmi (no ariel) then I am sure a tweek of my tv settings will sort this.Great service from UKHDMI too.

Have 10 metre 1.3spec HDMI cable placed under carpet and needed to send 3D blu Ray to 3D Plasma and put all my other HD sources from 2nd output on Denon 4308 reciever (that will not pass Full 3D through)Octava box switches from my OPPO93 direct and the Denon output for all else, completely automatic as you switch the OPPO on and off. so all signals go to TV over 1 cable.I use the remote to switch the blue leds off/on great feature not seen before.Saves me upgrading a prefectly good reciever to by new gear and not take up a very large carpet covered in furniture, the Picture is outstanding and no different from connecting the OPPO93 BD directly via the cable, I'm glad I put a quality cable down a couple of years ago that can handle the high bandwidth.

Cannot flaw this product, after having tried other products from high street stores and returned them all, this piece of kit is perfect.Works flawlessly with Sky HD and auto switches without the need to use the remote.Excellent delivery times and all set up in 10 minutes.

Having owned a Bravia television for years I just connected it up to sky hd box the other day and very quickly realised what Ive been missing out on with me Hd ready television.The television only had one hdmi socket so looked online came across this website. Just the job . Now I have my Laptop,Playstation3,and sky hd box connected through the octava hdmi switch all in hd going into just the one socket on my television.No need to remove hd cables form either of my gadgets , no need to use the remote control to change over channels on switch unit as this box of tricks does it all for you. Just buy this and you want be sorry.

Very neat package which connects up easily. SmartScan may not operate properly - it may be necesssary to juggle the connections to get auto detection. However, the dinky remote control is very effective and overall, this a very good piece of kit. Highly recommended.

You can't really complain much about this product it does everything you'd expect it to do!The only thing I'll point out is if you turn the box on before the TV you get an orange bar at the top of the screen, I'm not sure if this is the box or our TV causing the problem. But that aside, which in all honesty is easily sorted. This product is a godsend, saving lugging the the TV unit out to change hdmi cables over.So would still recommend for sure.

You know it's always the same when you thought 3 would be sufficient you discover you need more. Unfortunately this was my case. If you can stretch your budget go for more connections than you need. There is nothing complicated in the set-up fairly straightforward. It's a solid unit that functions a it should. Remote easy to use, although you do need to be quite close to the unit. Overall it's a great product which I have no problem in recommending.

I found this switch box so easy to use. I have one the the early Panasonic HD ready plasma television sets which only hastwo Hdmi connections. I have a sky hd receiver box a Panasonicdvd recorder and a Panasonic blue ray dvd player which I neededto use without having the change over the hdmi leads. This switch box automatically switches from one source to the otherwithout having to use the remote control. This makes thingseasy for my wife to use as well. I also find there in no reduction in the quality of picture on my TV set which for memakes it a great switch box and I can highly recommend it.

No installation problems, simply connect cables and power up.Comes with remote to switch devices, though claims will auto detect and switch over automatically - in practice this has happend on every occasion and in 5 months have yet to use the remote!Quality of signal great - no visible or sound difference when connected players direct to tv. On the more expensive side of other similar products but you get what you pay for and this is a great product that works invisibly in the background.
