This adapter just works! I plugged it in and my Dell XPs 15Z didn't need any configuration - it ran at 1920 x 1080 without any problem. My new Dell XPS is a lovely laptop but it only has Mini DisplayPort and HDMI. After struggling with HDMI for the last month or so I eventually had to recognise that most companies I visit have a VGA cable attached to their projectors. This is a great solution. It has worked with every screen / projector I've come accross (5 - 10 so far). It will run my 1920 x 1080 office screen without any difficulty but also drops back to match projector capabilities without any problem.
