The HDelity AVEC Media Centre includes two units Local (TX) and Remote (RX). The TX is linked up to the source and RX is connected to the Display. These HDelity units are interconnected with CAT5e/CAT6 cabling. It allows you to extend HDMI, RS232, IR and Ethernet peripherals up to 100 metres (328 feet) apart without any signal degrading.

HDCP stands for High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection, a copy protection scheme to eliminate the possibility of intercepting digital data midstream between the sources to the display. Products compatible with the HDCP scheme such as DVD players, satellite and cable HDTV set-top-boxes, as well as few entertainment PCs requires a secure connection to a compliant display.

Continuing upon Cablesson’s product design philosophy, our newest creation, the Cablesson HDelity AVEC HDMI Compact - HDBaseT unit incorporates current HDMI Features, including HDMI v1.4 exclusives like 3-D, 10/100T Ethernet Channel (HEC) and 4K x 2K Support.

Note: (Only 1 x IR EXT OUT cable included)

A quick overview of my setup - Cable modem, router and media server upstairs in my office, Dreambox downstairs and single cat5e cable already in place between the 2 locations.Object of the exercise was to get an HDMI signal to the upstairs TVs from my Dreambox 8000HD satellite receiver(which I also use as my media streamer)while at same time maintaining the ability to stream from my server upstairs my full bitrate uncompressed Blu-ray rips to the main TV downstairs or even back to the upstairs TVs. Plus I also needed to maintain internet connectivity upstairs and downstairs.Alot to ask I thought of a single cat5e cable, I was gobsmacked when this product achieved all that I wanted effortlessly, I also used a Cablesson splitter downstairs and one upstairs for the bedroom TV, it all works perfectly without any glitches or needing to power up equipment in a particular order to get it all working as I've read you need to do with other tech. The slave unit doesn't even need a power supply as it takes it's power from the main unit and sends it up the same cat5e. Both this product and the switches use a very small footprint, much smaller than they look in the pictures and the case construction is of the highest quality. For what it achieves I consider this product well the worth the cost and I would recommend this product unreservedly.

I had ordered an Octava HDCAT but these were out of stock and I was very lucky to be offered one of these instead (thanks for the great pro-active service UKHDMI). The specs are incredible and it works perfectly (I have 60m of Cat6 2x1.8m patch cables)- There is no setting up required and it really is just plug and go!The only thing to beware of is that despite having a HDMI bypass it is not actually a HDMI splitter - the remote TV will only work when the "local" TV is switched off. This caused some confusion at first but the UKHDMI phone support were brilliant and very knowledgeable. If you need both TVs on at the same time then you can use a HDMI splitter.Having tried other cheaper HDMI over CAT5/6 senders previously with unsatisfactory results, I was nervous ordering this expensive product but I guess you get what you pay for. Delighted.
